Faith is such a skewed word. According to wikipedia:

“Faith is the confident belief or trust in the truth or trustworthiness of a person or thing. Faith is in general the persuasion of the mind that a certain statement is true.”

Up to what extent can you actually be confident enough to say that you trust a person or thing?
You see, in this very, VERY interesting world of ours, or even just in the Philippines, living my past 23 years has somewhat made me jaded. Not to the extent that I am screaming anarchy and revolution every 5 mins, but to the point of dismay whenever I have to deal with the government or any of its agencies. I feel utter dismay and disgust. First I’d think that it’ll take forever, and lining up until my hair falls off. And then I’d think about the endless “HIDDEN” fees that come with dealing with them. And then I’d think about overpricing. This is what you call jaded.

But recently, I had to renew my passport for the Singapore trip next month. All these feelings as well as notions went racing through my mind because I had to carefully plan out my course of action for the next week or so, just so I can minimize the downtime as well as increase efficiency.
I asked people for help. From travel agents, to office people, as well as online social networking sites. I had no clue how to go about it.

Until I came across, http://www.passport.com.ph. This saved my life. I more or less have 2-3 weeks before I have to fly off to Uniquely Singapore, and it only takes a few days! I did everything online, they’ll send a courier wherever you are to pick up the needed documents. They also have an express lane for online people when you get to the DFA. The whole visit to the DFA should take less than 30 mins.

For renewing the passport (those using green ones) all you need are the old passport + photocopy of first 4 pages and the last page + 3 pictures for passport. The fee is Php 1300. Well worth it for less hassle!

What an improvement indeed! I now await for the passport on October 10!
