How I Spend My Sundays

Sundays are special to me. Not only is it a slow down day where one is free to actually do nothing and still call it a productive day, but rather the absence of volume of cars on the road means that driving around for pure enjoyment of my car is possible. I usually start my Sundays really early, around 7 or 8 am to get my car washed. But on this particular Sunday I had a whole itinerary planned out with Peter.

Today was the day Nalah got detailed.

If you’ve been following me on any social network, you know I’ve recently purchased my very first car. As I talk about in Wild About Retail, there is just something about a man and his first car.

We spent the entire morning, sanding (yes SANDING) my car, then compound rotary, polishing, and waxing. We put on a total of 3 coats of everything. The changes are astounding! See how reflective it is?

We started our adventure at around 8 am and just about finished at around 1pm. Yup it took us 5 hours to complete the job. Aside from my car being really really long and big, we were really through. One of the perks of doing it yourself. You get awesome results.

I am really proud of the work I did. Peter was very informative and the whole experience was very educational. I learned about compounds, cleaning techniques, and whole lot more about cars. This might not be an every Sunday thing, BUT, I might borrow his rotary every now and then to buff out my car.

I’ve also been on the hunt for the perfect car smell. I settled on Ambi-pure car freshener but I didn’t quite like how it smelled like NEW LAUNDRY. Peter also then shared with me a can of air freshener! I love the lemon squash smell. I’ve already started using it. SO rendhl, you are getting a new car freshener on Monday!

Curious as to how it smells like? Ride with me next time!

I know this blog might start turning into a car blog, but I can’t help it! Till next time!

Oh and I know what I’m getting for Christmas this year:
