The Visit

As most of you know, I’ve been very busy this past few weeks because of recent visit of my bosses. I tried to plan everything so that I can maximize their very short stay in the Philippines. I wanted to make sure too that everything was well planned out and they made use of their time wisely and efficiently. Their itinerary included meetings, eating, more meetings, a grand dinner and finally a send off! I hope Tim and Ming enjoyed. For now I shall rest. This was a great opportunity for me to practice events planning and running an event. Also, more than anything else it was a great way to test myself in handling such events. If I were really capable. But the at end of the day, I wanted everyone to have fun. If they had fun, I had fun.

Got a great big hug from Jane at the end of the night!

I got a big hug from Janey at the end of the night. I knew I did well then. I hope everyone had fun. So much planning and coordination was put into such a short event, but all the work goes before the event so that during the event itself, only a little effort is needed.

I am eternally grateful for a great team and friends. Without them, this event would not have gone so well. Thank you to my bosses Sir Eric and Sir Jay for trusting me to the point where almost everything was my call. I learned so much and proved so much not only to everyone else but more importantly to myself. I am continuously learning and growing into a better person and hopefully a better manager.

At the end of the day, learning from all the mistakes as well as success, is the key. Never stop learning. Mom asked me how the event went. She asked if it was perfect. I said No. Far from it. She asked what went wrong. I said nothing. Then how come it wasn’t perfect? I told it didn’t have to take something going wrong to ruin perfection. As long as you see parts, and areas, where things could be improved upon then you will never hit perfection and will continue to strive for it. It will be better.
