Project:Carlos C25k Week 1
Its been a week since I started Project:Carlos. I have seen some results already. I feel more vigorous and alive during days that I run. I have started sleeping early and over-all I just feel better. No significant weight loss yet but people have told me I look like I lost weight. (I don’t know how true this is though or rather how credible the sources are. One thing I am sure of, I’ve got nice friends!)
With the end of week 1 not only comes a sense of accomplishment and a step closer to my goal of actually being fit enough to climb pulag and lose all this stupid fat, but rather comes an underlying sense of normalcy. As most of you know I have been going through a somewhat tough time in my life and I thank everyone for their support and undying words of encouragement as I try to get back to the happy old me once again. I was happy before, I can be happy again after is my motto. With every kilometer I tackle, I realize I approach one step closer to regaining both my dignity as well as self-confidence which I admit took a heavy beating these past few months. I am blessed to have a great support system with great great friends, as well as a promising career in doing something I really love and actually enjoy and believe in. People dread Mondays because they enjoy their weekends so much, I actually have been looking towards Monday just because work is awesome. I used to love weekends because it was time with her but recently I dread it. But because of my great friends Feb 6 is actually a weekend I am looking forward to.
Most people find it counter-productive to actually not weigh oneself because apparently one measures a successful weight-loss program on the amount of weight one loses. But I believe that the weight-loss is just a bonus to actually feeling good, and feeling better about oneself. Posting week 1 stats. I have modified the c25k program to fit my needs. Instead of a 20mins work-out I do a 4.6km run instead using the c25k program. It takes me two repetitions of the podcast but its fine. Looking forward to week 2 and because I was being told to join it, I registered for the Century Superbods run on Feb. 21. I am looking forward to my first ever singlet! I’ll be posting here as well the different singlets for the different runs just to give you guys an idea.

Day 4; Week 1:
Well I am still trying to push myself. I tried sprinting the last 500m-700m just to finish out the workout. Also, I tried to increase my jogging pace to really push myself. Looking forward to Week 2!

I love the attitude carlos. I agree with what you said that weightloss is just a bonus to feeling great about oneself.
