Might I Digress From My Daily Dose of Shit
We’ve all been hearing all this circus that is to happen next year. Apparently, they moved the screening day a bit earlier. (To maybe maximize the revenues for the first screenings?) What I don’t get is, how can we have so many leading actors??? Its exactly like having a movie with 10 different action heroes and a bunch villains and they’re all having a go at each other. Then we got some of non-players now being called to become the leading actors too. The news is hyping it up. People are clamoring for it. Forget the circus, THIS IS THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH. Ever had one of those books wherein they try to engage the reader in the story by having him choose how the plot turns out within a specific set of parameters? This is the ultimate CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE BOOK.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I’m talking about the up-coming elections. Its all everyone is talking about. Whether that be good or bad, at least we’re talking about it. But the problem is precisely the consuelo-de-bobo we crave so much. All we ever do is talk. With about 10 confirmed presidentiables, and a few others being called to run, where does that leave the plot? Maybe that is the twist. That is the story. At elast no one can accuse us of not having a mileiu of choices. We’ve got a variety of choices, but do we really have a choice? I’m sure the heroes of old are turning in their graves right now. This is the Philippines they fought for. This is what they gave their lives up for. Good job everyone.
This is the GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH. Circus Ole has got nothing on us. And guess what, we’ve got ringside seats! (oh happy day~) So sit back and enjoy the show.
In books like Choose Your Own Adventure, at the end of the page you see a question like this:
To Climb the mountain and trust the quiet little sherpa; TURN TO PAGE 53 To go back down to base camp 1 and cower in fear till the storm passes; TURN TO PAGE 11
Do we trust the little Filipino within us and make that bold choice to climb the mountain?
Or do we return to where we started and cower in fear hoping everything will blow-over.
TURN THE PAGE TO MAY 2010
The coat-of-arms is a sea lion, which is adopted from the coat-of-arms of the city of Manila. It has the arms, head, and upper body of a lion, and the tail of a sea creature. The sea lion on the coat-of-arms was adopted from the coat-of-arms of the Spanish kingdoms of Castile and León and was granted in 1596. Because the Philippines was an overseas (Ultramar) colony, the lion became a sealion.
Well there you go. You learn something new everyday.

did you hear the new fiasco Bayani's in right now? the 1.5 million cash gift from the Manila Filmfest.
Reeks of fish and shit don't it? Oh hail our wonderful presidentiables… which jester is your favorite? Guess we'll have to see who puts on the best "show"
I'd say Mar Roxas would be Jester #1. Oh no.. maybe not. His ads are so pathetic, its funny at all.
I think so far, the number contender in my books is Erap. Have you seen his ad? Damn winner. At least he made me laugh!

Yeah. I head in the radio this morning on the way to a meeting was, why not let ERAP run? Then if he wins, did the Filipinos learn anything? If he doesn't win, did we really learn anytihng? Begging the question! Lol…
We deserve the kind of leaders we elect.
